    Hawaiian Airlines said Wednesday that the first of 27 new Airbus A330-200 aircraft will be delivered to Honolulu in April. A second leased A330 will join Hawaiian’s fleet in May and a third in November. The first two A330s will service Hawaiian’s Los Angeles-Honolulu route starting in June. The A330 seats 294 passengers and has LCD touch-screen entertainment monitors installed in each seatback. Hawaiian, owned by Hawaiian Holdings (Nasdaq: HA), said the aircraft offer improved fuel efficiency and an operating range of 6,050 nautical miles, allowing the carrier to fly nonstop to all of North America and points in East Asia. The aircraft are being built in an Airbus factory in France. Hawaiian also has signed a purchase agreement with Airbus to acquire six wide-body A330-200 aircraft starting in 2012 and six A350-800 extra-wide-body aircraft starting in 2017. In addition, Hawaiian has purchase rights for another six aircraft of each model
